Melbourne Ice

The NHL may be over for this season, but that still leaves me with - guess what - AIHL!
Yes......while some may consider it crazy, Australia does indeed have an Ice Hockey League. And if Saturday's game is anything to go by - it's not so bad. Melbourne Ice is still top of the league after beating Newcastle on the weekend. It was a bit of a nailbiter though with the result being decided by penalty shoot-out. Happily I was able to witness a win at home and left quite content indeed to go out and enjoy a very pleasant Saturday evening of good food, wine, tunes and interesting people.

finally.....Wedding photos

It's well over a month since the happy event that was Kristen and Greg's wedding, but that doesn't mean it's too late to put up the photos. What a great treat for us all to go down to the coast, dress up and celebrate this most excellent of pairings. It was just as fun as everyone imagined, starting from the moment the groom strode rock star like into the church (almost upstaging the bride). The church service was hilarious and really fit the mood of the happy couple who were in top form all day and night. Nice work guys!

congrats guys!

Clap your hands say Yeah!

Thankfully I managed to fit a concert in amongst all the study - some things just have to take priority!
Read about on my music blog if you are interested.

offline.....

no I'm not dead....
just had no internet connection at home for a while (or a reliable one at work for that matter) and even if I did have the internet I would have not had time to post as Uni was going mental. the usual no sleeping for 72 hours at a time and all that. same old story every semester. Almost all done now which is a relief.....and then it's Indonesia time!

I have been too sad about the Canucks departure from the playoffs to really write much about it. At the moment it looks as though the Stanley Cup will go to Anaheim (who forced my fave boys out) as they are leading 3-1 to the Senators going into game 5 tomorrow. I'm not saying they can't come back (I would dearly love a Canadian team to take the title) but it's a pretty tough ask at this point. Unfortunately the Ducks are actually just playing a good game of hockey.
for what it's worth anyway - GO SENS!
