Despite only having two weeks of mid semester break in September I was lucky enough to pack in an enormous amount of fun. Straight after my interim design presentation on 12th of September I rushed home from uni, packed up all my stuff and in a matter of hours was on a plane winging my way to Austin. I've never been to Texas before, so didn't really know what to expect and whilst I can't actually comment on the rest of the state, I have to say Austin is fabulous. The festival was three days of great music, fun and heat. Highlights were Bjork, Wilco, Midlake, Lucinda Williams, The National, Regina Spektor, Arcade Fire and surprisingly for this folkie lover - LCD soundsystem.
