Me, Mads and a Motorcycle

on the great ocean road once again - January 2008
MARVELLOUS

I know, I know, I know.......

Yes, yes, it's been a long time between drinks here at guitar strings, but what a time it's been. Life has been nothing if not interesting for the last half a year or so, finishing up uni, launching myself into summer and all the music festivals that brings etc etc. It was a very fun, but also very hectic time where most of my blogging activity was concentrated on keeping sing me back home vaguely up to date.

Now of course I'm back at uni in my final (ever) semester (that's the plan anyway) and once again pushed for time to do much else but study. (even sleep rarely gets a look in) I figured it might be nice just to stay in touch with my far flung friends a little bit though - so here's a few pics of the last while - starting from way back when - so you don't forget what I look like when I come and see you all in the north later this year!! Yes it's official - I'm coming back again. More details will follow soon. Until then - take care all and keep in touch. (better than I keep in touch with this blog anyway)

Austin City Limits

Despite only having two weeks of mid semester break in September I was lucky enough to pack in an enormous amount of fun. Straight after my interim design presentation on 12th of September I rushed home from uni, packed up all my stuff and in a matter of hours was on a plane winging my way to Austin. I've never been to Texas before, so didn't really know what to expect and whilst I can't actually comment on the rest of the state, I have to say Austin is fabulous. The festival was three days of great music, fun and heat. Highlights were Bjork, Wilco, Midlake, Lucinda Williams, The National, Regina Spektor, Arcade Fire and surprisingly for this folkie lover - LCD soundsystem. (they really put on a good live show) Here are some photos of the action - for more on the music go to my music blog. (I promise to update it soon - uni work is almost over and I want to do it properly)

a beautiful addition....

things have been busy, so this is a bit late, but here are some photos of the gorgeous Ellie who was born to my dear friends Emma and Aidan on 30th June. (right on schedule in typical Emma fashion!)

What a cutie....I can't wait to meet her. Right now even Queensland seems too far away.
